Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., was founded at Howard University on January 13, 1913, by twenty-two scholarly women.  Delta Sigma Theta is pledged to serious endeavors and community service.

The Epsilon Eta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., was founded at Stillman College in May 1962, with the purpose of establishing and maintaining a high standard of scholarship and morality including not only virtue, but also service to humanity.  Delta Sigma Theta has chapters reaching across the United States, West Germany, and the Republic of Haiti and Liberia.  Delta Sigma Theta lists herself as a public service organization rather than a "social" Sorority.

The Epsilon Eta Chapter prides itself on helping others through its local and national service projects including voter registration drives, blood drives, campus clean-up, adopt-a-child, and many others.
