Dear , |
|
Thank you for selecting Stillman College. Your Stillman Financial Aid Application has been successfully submitted. Please refer to the instructions below. |
|
INSTRUCTIONS This form is to be completed by all applicants for financial aid from Stillman College. Please read all items carefully and respond as indicated. Incomplete applications will not be processed. The completed financial aid application should be returned to the Financial Aid Office or it may be returned to the Admissions Office with the admissions application. The addresses of these are as follows: Financial Aid Office Admissions Office Stillman College Stillman College P.O. Box 1430 P.O. Box 1430 Tuscaloosa, AL 35403 Tuscaloosa, AL 35403
Applicants must apply for federal financial aid using the Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which may be obtained from your high school financial aid office or on the web at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Alabama residents must complete the Alabama Student Grant Program application by the deadline date on that application and return the form with any required documentation to the address listed above.
GENERAL INFORMATION Aid recipients are usually awarded a combination of financial aid rather than one specific type. The applicant's chances for obtaining maximum assistance are greatly increased because we can use several resources in trying to meet the applicant's need. Applicants submitting this application will be considered for any aid available for which the student qualifies including scholarships, grants, and employment.
DEADLINE This Financial Aid application and FAFSA/RENEWAL FAFSA should be received in the Financial Aid Office on or before April 1 to receive priority consideration. The FAFSA should be sent to the processor at least two months prior to the above deadline to ensure its processing by the April 1 date. Applications received after the above priority date will be acted upon and funds will be awarded based on availability at the time the complete application is received. A supplemental institutional application for summer school will be available in March prior to the summer of planned enrollment.
LIST OF OUTSIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Students are required to list any financial assistance they will receive from source(s) outside of the College such as private scholarships or grants, veterans' benefits, employer's tuition re-imbursement, vocational rehabilitation benefits, or any other benefits. All benefits must be listed under the resources section of this application or reported in writing to the Director of Financial Aid immediately. Failure to do so may result in the college's commitment to the student being canceled or adjusted.
OTHER SOURCES OF AID Students or prospective students should investigate their possible eligibility to receive aid from other sources such as Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits, Veterans' Benefits for veterans and their dependents, and civic/social organizations, businesses, churches, etc., that provide scholarship assistance.
INFORMATION ASSISTANCE All applicants are urged to contact the personnel in the Financial Aid Office to discuss their particular financial situations and/or to receive assistance in completing the required aid forms. Telephone (205) 366-8844.
