Parents, faculty and staff gathered in Birthright Auditorium on Sunday for the New Student/Faculty/Staff Confirmation Ceremony.

This ceremony marks the official recognition and confirmation of the Class of 2015 as members of the Stillman College community. It also affirms the commitment of new faculty and staff to a student-centered community.

During the ceremony, President Ernest McNealey encouraged the freshmen to make the most of their Stillman experience. He also encouraged the them blaze their own paths to academic success as they mature into Stillman Men and Stillman Women.

“The objective is to instill pride in and appreciation for Stillman’s rich heritage and to note symbolically the passing of knowledge from the College to the student,” said Dr. Sharon Whittaker-Davis, Vice President for Student Affairs. “The program also connects the generation of the new millennium with that of the past by the ringing of the bell, one of the many traditions of the College.”
