Welcome to Stillman!
Stillman is a 4 year co-educational, historically black liberal arts institution, committed to fostering academic excellence and providing high quality educational opportunities for diverse populations with disparate levels of academic preparation. The College received a U.S. News and World Report ranking of 25th in Best Southern Comprehensive Colleges for 2006-2007. Stillman enrolls an average of 1000 students who are taught and inspired by 72 full and part-time faculty members.
With a wealth of tradition and vision, Stillman today is expanding its horizons under the leadership of its sixth President, Dr. Peter Edmund Millet. Stillman has an average enrollment of 1,000, an exceptionally qualified and committed faculty and staff, and 13 major areas of study. The College also offers guaranteed outcomes for selected degree programs and highly prepared students are challenging themselves by enrolling in the Harte Honors College. In addition to implementing a more rigorous curriculum, Stillman has enhanced its programming and its physical characteristics. The College offers 10 sports for men and women as well as marching band. Also, Stillman’s campus now includes 25 buildings, most of which have been renovated recently. Since 1997, a stadium complex and three new buildings have been erected.
The purposes of the College are realized through four organizational divisions: Academic Affairs, Finance and Administration, Institutional Advancement, and Student Affairs.
